The University of Rhode Island has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

U.S. Admissions Eligibility for Online Programs

The University of Rhode Island is able to offer admissions to its online programs to residents of all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

International Admissions Eligibility for Online Programs

The University of Rhode Island is currently only accepting applications or enrollment requests for online programs from residents of Australia.

Programs with Enrollment Limitations

Early Childhood Care and Education:
The program can only accept students who reside, or intend to practice*, in the following states: Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Maryland

MLIS Track School Library Media:
The program can only accept students who reside, or intend to practice*, in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Nursing R.N. to B.S.
The program can only accept students who reside, or intend to practice*, in the following states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

The RN-BS program does not lead to professional licensure. However, if you reside outside of the state of RI, please contact the College of Nursing prior to applying.
