T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program Available

With URI Online’s Early Childhood Care and Education Accelerated Undergraduate Certificate and B.S. Degree Completion programs, students can enroll in affordable and fully-online courses while keeping their current employment status. Through the programs, educators will increase skills and on-the-job learning competencies required in early childhood, work with and learn from professionals in Rhode Island, and experience flexible internship placement.

The T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program

The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Program provides opportunities for early childhood educators to complete higher education course work in early childhood education while providing sponsoring childcare programs an opportunity to develop their workforce.

This unique scholarship program may help early childhood educators advance their career and role in the profession by pursuing a degree and higher education opportunities in the field of early childhood education.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Rhode Island is a licensed program of Child Care Services Association with funding from the RI Department of Human Services.

Eligibility Checklist

  • You are an early childhood professional working at least 30 hours a week in an early childhood faculty that accepts CCAP, is licensed by DHS, and rated by BrightStars, Rhode Island’s Quality Rating and Improvement System.
  • Your employer is willing to sponsor you in the scholarship program.
  • You must be enrolled in an early childhood education program at a Rhode Island participating college (CCRI, RIC, URI).
