URI College of Pharmacy Dean Paul Larrat urged graduates to “unfocus and think large” as he congratulated students receiving Masters of Science in Pharmaceutical Studies and Doctor of Philosophy and Pharmaceutical Sciences degrees during the college’s annual “Hooding Ceremony” May 18.
“I urge you to unfocus occasionally; pull back and look at the big picture sometimes,” Dean Larrat said. “Look at the value of your work in a broader context… how is my work going to help human beings live a better life.”

During the ceremony, Director of Graduate Programs Angela Slitt presented Excellence Awards for Research to Hilary Aroke and as a teaching assistant to Christopher Via.
