The University of Rhode Island Pharmaceutical Development Institute will hold a week-long open house in April, giving the campus community and the public a look at state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical education, development, manufacturing and testing.
The open house will include hands-on tours of the Pharmaceutical Processing Suites and the Analytical and Stability Testing Laboratory; live demonstrations of established equipment in the process suites, including tablet- and capsule-making technologies, tablet film coating machine, and fluid bed systems; and access to some of the region’s foremost experts in pharmaceutical training and manufacturing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Gown up in full clean room attire, including lab coats, booties, hair nets and goggles before touring the suites of clean labs.
Witness pharmaceutical tablets and capsules being manufactured live in the Institute’s advanced equipment.
Experience the state-of-the-art technologies used in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
Learn how the PDI’s highly qualified staff members conduct training courses for external pharmaceutical companies.
Availability is limited and registration is required. Time slots include:
- April 25: 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.
