FATEMEH AKHLAGHI, a University of Rhode Island professor of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, has received $1.65 million from the National Institutes of Health to study a new treatment for alcoholism in collaboration with Dr. Lorenzo Leggio of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
