This PBPK model contains a permeability controlled distribution model for the liver and also incorporates an extended clearance model for hepatic elimination, which includes passive diffusion, uptake transporters in the basolateral membrane, metabolism within the hepatocyte and an uptake transporter on the canalicular membrane.
