Rebecca Austria, PharmD, ’12
Traveling Pharmacist, Samuel Simmons Memorial Hospital

Rebecca Austria is a traveling pharmacist specializing in rural healthcare. She is originally from Massachusetts, and graduated from URI in 2012. After that experience, she knew she wanted to be a rural traveler after graduation. Since then, she has worked in northern Maine; Anchorage, Alaska; rural Alaska; and Antarctica. The highlight of her career, so far, was being a pharmacist at McMurdo Station, Antarctica and having the opportunity to travel to the South Pole!
