After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees from The University of Rhode Island in 2017, Kaley pursued a two-year Post-Doctoral Medical Affairs Fellowship at Acorda Therapeutics in conjunction with Rutgers University. Through Rutgers, she also served as an adjunct faculty member and became chief fellow. She then transitioned to a role as Manager of Medical Information and Education at Daiichi Sankyo in May of 2019, and was recently promoted to Lead Manager, Scientific Information in December of 2020. At Daiichi, she works primarily as a lead medical promotional reviewer in oncology with a current focus in breast, gastric and non-small cell lung cancer. She is also an enthusiastic preceptor to PharmD fellows.

Chris Federico ’10 graduated from the URI College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After graduation, Chris pursued a career as a clinical pharmacist at Coastal Medical Inc, performing disease state and MTM for patients with diabetes and chronic conditions. During his time at Coastal, Chris engaged in public health efforts, including outpatient antimicrobial stewardship, while serving as a preceptor for APPE students, PGY1 Pharmacy Residents and provided pharmacotherapy lectures for JWU and Bryant University Physician Assistant programs. He is currently a Renal-Cardio Medical Science Liaison at AstraZeneca, providing scientific support to medical providers and research institutes with interests in kidney disease, heart failure and emergency medicine. He also maintains per-diem status at RI Hospital.

Elaina Lorefice graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in 2019. After graduating from URI, Elaina made the move from Long Island, New York to New York City in order to pursue a career in veterinary compounding pharmacy. Elaina’s favorite parts of her job are learning new things every day, compounding medication, and working collaboratively with her colleagues and veterinarians. Elaina is grateful for having attended URI for pharmacy school because it opened her mind to the different career paths available for pharmacists, which helped her end up where she is today. In her free time, Elaina enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and playing with her dog, Nova.

Joseph Nardolillo, PharmD, BCACP is an Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He also practices ambulatory care pharmacy at his clinical practice site at a primary care clinic within the Henry Ford Health system where he helps optimize medications for patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders, and heart failure. He is a 2018 graduate of the University of Rhode Island and completed post-graduate residencies at the Albuquerque Indian Health Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Aurora, Colorado. His professional interests include population health, chronic disease management in underserved populations, and the expansion of clinical pharmacy services. He is involved in many local and national pharmacy organizations including Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, the National Lipid Association, the Michigan Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.

Hannah Ritchie is currently a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Baystate Medical Center (2020-2021). She graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island in May 2020. She came to URI from Santa Clarita, California because she loved the learning atmosphere and the wide variety of experiences offered within and outside the College of Pharmacy. Hannah is interested in Critical Care and Academia. She has early committed to complete her PGY2 Residency in Critical Care at Baystate Medical Center from 2021-2022. Hannah is looking forward to a career full of compassion, teamwork, and learning. Hannah absolutely loves being a resident and cannot wait to fully transition into her career. She is forever grateful for the opportunities URI gave her, the wonderful mentors and friends she met, and the growth she sustained.

Katelyn Burton is a fifth year Doctor of Pharmacy Student at the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Art in French along with a minor in Biology. She works at an independent community pharmacy, Green Line Apothecary, and Newport Hospital. She has been an integral component of the vaccination efforts in Rhode Island and is currently conducting a literature review in pediatric gluten-free medications. Katelyn also works as an organic chemistry tutor and has been the Head Tour Guide for the College of Pharmacy for the last two years. Her involvement in different pharmacy organizations includes American Pharmacists Association, Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Rhode Island Pharmacist Association. She is interested in pediatric emergency medicine, oncology and government regulation with hopes to pursue a residency post-graduation.
