Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Todd Brothers
Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Pharm.D., BCCCP, BCPS
Dr. Todd Brothers is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, where he specializes in pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenomics, and adult critical care. With extensive experience ranging from community and ambulatory care to acute care in academia, Dr. Brothers plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists.
At URI, Dr. Brothers teaches a variety of courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, including pharmacogenomics, infectious diseases, advanced cardiology, and critical care medicine. His research focuses on harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve clinical outcomes in healthcare.

In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Brothers is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He also maintains a clinical consultation service in critical care and internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Brothers’ contributions to the field of pharmacy and his commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation and education make him a standout member of the URI College of Pharmacy faculty.
Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Rhonda Pacheco ‘03
Group Vice President, US Cardiometabolic Health, Eli Lilly and Company
Dr. Rhonda Pacheco, a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, has built an impressive career as Group Vice President at Eli Lilly, where she provides commercial leadership for some of the company’s most groundbreaking medicines. Her role directly impacts patient care and advances in cardiometabolic health across the U.S.
Reflecting on her time at URI, Dr. Pacheco credits the College of Pharmacy with providing a solid foundation for her professional journey.

Student Spotlight: Gabriella Mignosa ‘25
Gabriella Mignosa’s journey at the URI College of Pharmacy has been defined by her passion for patient care and her dedication to pharmacy. A turning point in her education came during her hospital introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) rotation, where she discovered her future career path in solid organ transplant pharmacy after shadowing a transplant pharmacist and counseling transplant recipients during an advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPA)..
Throughout her time at URI, Gabriella has embraced numerous opportunities — serving as a tour guide, tutor, mentor, RAMbassador, and pharmacy intern at both CVS and a local hospital. These experiences combined with the invaluable support and recommendations from faculty have set her on the path toward pursuing a pharmacy residency. Gabriella credits the scholarships she has received from the College of Pharmacy for allowing her to fully focus on her education and patient care.
