Minor in Philosophy

Minoring in philosophy is a great way for you to benefit from taking a variety of courses in philosophy while pursuing a degree in another discipline.

The minor requires a minimum of 18 credits in philosophy; at least 12 of these credits must be at the 200 level or above. (Note: students may use one course with the RLS designation toward the requirements for the minor in philosophy.)

To select the minor in Philosophy, just fill out the Declaration of Minor Form. Note that you don’t have to wait until you have completed your 18 credits to declare the minor; we encourage you to declare as soon as possible.
