Visitor Parking

Welcome to the University of Rhode Island. Thank you for visiting our campus. We hope your visit to URI is pleasant and productive. Our mission is to help get you where you want to be.

All visitors parking on campus must register their vehicle using one of the options below. The University uses license plate recognition (LPR) for enforcement. It is very important that your license plate information is entered correctly regardless of the option you use to register your vehicle.

General Campus Visitors

Visitors are always welcome on campus, and their cooperation in observing the parking regulations is appreciated. Visitors can park in any visitor lot. There are several visitor parking locations throughout campus and are highlighted in pink on our campus map. Visitors are subject to all parking regulations and all fees incurred.  You can register your vehicle here or visitors can use the new AMP Park app which is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Please see AMP Park instructions. If unable to download the app, metered parking can be paid at the web address https://aimsmobilepay.com

Within the app, users will be able to see on a map the lots or areas where metered parking is offered on campus.   There will be signs in those areas denoting the spaces designated for metered parking.   If you plan on being on campus for more than 4 hours you can obtain a daily visitor pass online here.  Visitors with a valid ADA placard may park in any available ADA space on campus when their vehicle is registered using the AMP Park app or daily visitor pass.

Visitors can park in all visitor lots ONLY. Parking anywhere else on campus may result in ticketing/towing.

Accessible Parking

Please note that neither the URI Transportation and Parking office, nor the Office of Human Resources Administration, nor the Office of Disability, Access, and Inclusion can allow or provide access to the public accessible parking spaces on campus. Only your state’s department/registry of motor vehicles can provide disability placards, which when paired with a URI guest pass allow parking in accessible parking areas. If you have a disability placard, please contact our office to add it to your guest pass. With a
placard assigned to you and a valid URI permit or pass, you can park in any accessible parking space on campus. For additional information about state-issued Disability Placards, visit this website.
