Candelabra Bush

Scientific Name: Senna elata Effective treatment for ringworm and fungal infections of the skin. A poultice is made from the fresh leaves and blended with vegetable oil. The active ingrediant is chrysophanic acid. Also has laxative effects from the anthraquione content.

Blue Wild Indigo

Scientific Name: Baptisia australis Wild Blue Indigo was used by the Cherokees as a source of blue dye. The roots have purgative properties, and may also alleviate nausea and toothaches.
