Canna Lilly

Scientific Name: Canna sp. Cannas are originally from South America. Their starchy tubers are edible, can be eaten by people and livestock or used to produce noodles or fermented into alcohol. The leaves can be used to make paper and the seeds produce can produce a purple dye.

Candelabra Bush

Scientific Name: Senna elata Effective treatment for ringworm and fungal infections of the skin. A poultice is made from the fresh leaves and blended with vegetable oil. The active ingrediant is chrysophanic acid. Also has laxative effects from the anthraquione content.
