Visit Us

Photos are great, but URI looks even better in person. We invite you to visit us and see for yourself! In fact, we were recently named “Most Beautiful Coastal Campus” on the east coast by “Best Value Schools.”

We offer campus tours, admission information sessions, and College/major information sessions as described in the descriptions below.

Before you can register for a campus tour or an information session, you’ll need to sign up for a Rhody Connection account, which gives you access to all URI Admission events.

Tours and Information Sessions

Student tour guide with prospective students and parents.
  • Campus Tours: Most weekdays at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.

Our campus tours are 90-minute walking tours led by URI’s exceptional student tour guides who give you a first-hand view of our beautiful campus. Our tours are conducted rain or shine, so please dress for comfort!

  • Admission Information Sessions: Most weekdays at 11:45 a.m.

Our 45-minute admission information sessions will allow you to learn more about URI, including our excellent academic programs and experiential learning opportunities, as well as the application process, and are conducted by URI admission professionals who can answer all of your questions. You will also hear from current students who share their perspectives on all aspects of the URI experience. We often offer separate admission information sessions for high school juniors and admitted seniors, so please see the calendar for specific dates. We encourage transfer applicants to attend the junior sessions.

  • Transfer Admission Information Sessions: Sept. 27, Oct. 13, Oct. 27, Nov. 10, & Nov. 22 at 2:00 p.m.

Your information session is led by a professional admission counselor who provides an overview of the transfer admission process, information about selective majors that require specific academic preparation prior to admission, and transfer academic policies.

If you would like additional information about URI, we recommend you also register for the 12:30 p.m. student-led campus walking tour.
