Visit Us

Photos are great, but URI looks even better in person. We invite you to visit us and see for yourself! In fact, we were recently named “Most Beautiful Coastal Campus” on the east coast by “Best Value Schools.”

We offer campus tours, admission information sessions, and College/major information sessions as described in the descriptions below.

Before you can register for a campus tour or an information session, you’ll need to sign up for a Rhody Connection account, which gives you access to all URI Admission events.

Tours and Information Sessions

Student tour guide with prospective students and parents.
  • Campus Tours: Most weekdays at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.

Our campus tours are 90-minute walking tours led by URI’s exceptional student tour guides who give you a first-hand view of our beautiful campus. Our tours are conducted rain or shine, so please dress for comfort!

See our events calendar and sign up today!

  • Prospective students are encouraged to attend our active duty service member/veteran tour led by a member of the University of Rhode Island Student Veteran Organization (SVO). The SVO member will lead you around campus and the tour will include areas applicable to service members and veterans. To accommodate your schedule, appointments can be made on an individual basis by emailing Dr. Erin Earle at erinearle@uri.edu.

Can’t make it to campus? Check out our virtual tour to learn more about URI. Email erinearle@uri.edu to get connected to a sponsor from the SVO who can assist in answering your questions.

  • Admission Information Sessions: Most weekdays at 11:45 a.m.

Our 45-minute admission information sessions will provide you with important details about the application process, and are conducted by URI admission professionals who can answer all of your questions. You will also hear from current students who share their perspectives on all aspects of the URI experience. We often offer separate admission information sessions for high school juniors and admitted seniors, so please see the calendar for specific dates. We encourage transfer applicants to attend the junior sessions.

  • Some of our colleges and departments offer information sessions that provide more information about specific majors. For your convenience, we combine college/major info sessions with a campus tour and admission information session.
