Register

Overview

Registration for J Term courses offered in Kingston or online is done on e-Campus, URI’s student information system. Applications for international and off-campus programs are accepted online through our URIAbroad system with support provided by the Office of International Education.

URI students

URI students, please register online via e-Campus.

Non-Matriculating Students

If you do not attend URI full time or this is your first time registering for a course here, you will need to submit a Non-Degree Student Application Form to be able to register in e-Campus. Please see the New Students section for complete information. International Non-Matriculating Students should review the URI policy on student visas before completing the non-degree student application form.

Prior Learning Assessment

Your experience matters. If you have prior learning experiences, for example, from the workforce, a certificate, training, licensure, the military, or elsewhere, you may qualify to earn college credit at URI. PLA 100 is a one-credit course that guides you in writing a portfolio about your learning that has occurred outside of the traditional academic environment. If you are interested in taking this course, please email Marije Thomas, Coordinator of Prior Learning Assessment, at Marije.Thomas@uri.edu.

Veterans

We welcome all active-duty military, reserve members, and veteran students to our campus community during J Term.

Information for Veterans

My favorite part about taking J-Term courses is that I can learn the same amount of material in a quicker time-frame, without having to juggle 4 or 5 classes at a time. It makes earning extra credits super easy, and is part of why I’m graduating early this December!
