WARNING!!! We electronically record and tow vehicles which do not have a current URI Parking Permit.
ALWAYS PARK IN THE AREA DESIGNATED BY YOUR PARKING PERMIT. THIS INCLUDES AFTER-HOURS PARKING!
Commuters – PLEASE NOTE: Both Fine Arts and Keaney Lot are filled by 9:00 a.m. on weekdays. To avoid traffic and parking delays, please take Route 138 to Plains Road or take Flagg Road to the bottom of the hill and park in the newly expanded Plains Road lot.
Commuter parking is ONLY allowed in the designated Commuter areas (red).
General Student Parking – To better meet the needs of our students, we provide several areas for General Student Parking. This means that all students (whether Commuter, Resident, or Greek and Special Programs) will all be eligible to park in these areas if their vehicle is properly displaying a current permit.
General Student Parking areas are clearly marked with signage, that says “Valid Student Permit Required” and will show as a multi use area on the Campus Parking map.
Faculty/Staff Parking – Parking areas are marked with signage that says “Valid Faculty/Staff Permit Required” and are shown in the color gold on the Campus Map. Multi-use areas for Faculty/Staff and Visitors are represented by a gold and pink striped color.
LEED Certified Vehicles: Limited fuel efficient vehicle parking is available for those who meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Criteria for faculty and staff. To determine if your vehicle is eligible please click here and search for your vehicle. The University will only recognize vehicles on this list of fuel efficient vehicles. These vehicles may park in the parking spaces designated for “fuel efficient vehicles only.” Any other vehicles will be ticketed.
