Students – In order to manage your vehicle information you can simply call our office and provide us with the updated license plate, make, and model of your vehicle. If your call cannot be answered, please leave a voicemail with your name, URI ID number, and the relevant vehicle information so that we can update it as soon as possible. You can only have one car associated with a permit at a time, so you must make sure to update your vehicle information every time that you bring a different car to park on campus. Due to substantial changes in the parking system, this procedure will be used until a solution is determined in which students can update their vehicle information themselves online. Faculty/Staff – Faculty and staff members are allowed to register two vehicles simultaneously when ordering a parking hang tag. Only one hang tag is issued per faculty/staff member, therefore if two vehicles are registered, the hang tag should be physically transferred between each vehicle as they are used. In other words, you must make sure that your hang tag is displayed every time that you bring a different vehicle to park on campus. If you would like to register a new vehicle or remove a previous one, simply contact Parking Services.
