The Environmental Outdoor Science Adventure at the URI Alton Jones campus is a 2-day, 1-night ecology event for approximately 100 5th grade SMILE students. The students and mentors spend the weekend together learning about the plant and animal life throughout the campus. The URI mentors educate the SMILE students with their hands-on lessons at four different sites, and lead the students in fun campfire songs while sharing their challenges and successes throughout their academic careers. The EOSA weekend is a rewarding and educational experience for all in attendance.
