During the 4th Grade Ecology Day, SMILE club members travel to URI’s Kingston Campus for a day filled with activities that provide a well-rounded introduction into the world of ecology. Graduate student mentors, URI faculty, and SMILE staff guide the SMILE students and their teachers to 4 different activity stations with topic ranging from wildlife, marine biology, plant life, and soil science. The students also get to eat in the dining hall with URI students and experience a small taste of being on a college campus. 

The next 4th Grade Ecology Day is on Thursday April 9th, 2020.
