Biography

Jennifer oversees the support services and their coordinators at the Academic Enhancement Center (AEC) located in Roosevelt Hall. As Director, Jennifer provides leadership within the center to facilitate the alignment of AEC program initiatives with UCAS and URI strategic objectives, as well as outreach to campus partners to assist in all aspects of academic support programs.

Jennifer completed her BA in Political Science and Masters Degree in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University. After working at NC State and Northeastern University in Boston, MA, she joined the University of Rhode Island Advising Programs for Student Athletes staff in Fall 2013. In this role Jennifer provided academic guidance and advising to varsity athletes in a variety of sports. In July 2018, Jennifer was hired as Coordinator of STEM Tutoring at the AEC. In February of 2020, Jennifer was hired as the Director of the Academic Enhancement Center.

In addition to her work at URI, she earned her Masters Certificate in Human Resources in 2016 and her MS in Human Resources and Labor Relations from the University of Rhode Island in Spring 2019.
