As a textile marketing major, you’ll learn about market research, product development and sales functions of companies producing fibers, yarns, fabrics and apparel, and for interiors and industrial customers – equipping you with a valued skill set demanded by organizations that specialize in these activities. You will also be equipped to succeed in small business management and ownership.
Internship Opportunities
Internships provide you with practical hands-on work experience that supplements your coursework and gives you valuable tools toward building your career. Your textile marketing internship will likely happen in your junior or senior year, after you’ve gained some background knowledge from coursework. For some internships there are preferred course prerequisites. For fuller details, review the TMD 461/2 course syllabus.
Internships can be can be done in the summer or during the academic year. You can even earn academic credit or intern abroad.
