Overview
URI’s Master of Science in Management (M.S.M.) is a STEM-designated degree program that allows students to develop professional skills to become more effective and innovative leaders that can then make data-informed decisions and have strategic expertise in business integration.
Our M.S.M. program encourages applications from recent graduates and professionals who want to improve their skills in a focused discipline.
Our core, 30-credit M.S.M. program focuses on Strategic Leadership, or you can concentrate their electives to specialize in Sports Management, FinTech (available Fall 2025); or Marketing (beginning Fall 2026).
M.S.M. students will benefit from our flexible curriculum, co-curricular experiences aimed at professional development, experiential learning opportunities (e.g. case competitions, global immersions, hackathons); and non-credit bearing, co-curricular labs that develop communication, career, and technical skills that are available to all students. All students also have the option to participate in our new, signature Global Immersion Experience.
The program is designed for professional growth, building business knowledge and skills, insights, confidence, and interpersonal skills that can be used immediately to differentiate yourself on the job market and in your career. The program also helps professionals and aspiring professionals upskill and prepare for advanced organizational leadership positions.
Required courses are offered in the evenings, on weekends, or fully online so they are convenient for working professionals. Full-time and part-time options are available.
