The STEM-designated Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization prepares graduates for careers in business analytics with advanced business analytics skills, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to apply skills to business decisions.
As part of the requirements for the MS in Management, Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Specialization, students take the following 12 credits:
- BUS512 Applied AI for Business Decision Making
- BAI455 Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Applications
- BAI557 Data Visualization for Business Intelligence
- BAI576 Machine Learning for Business Intelligence
There is increased demand for graduates who can use business analytics tools and apply artificial intelligence in business settings, inform creative business problem solving with data insights, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members.
The Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specialization will help prepare graduates for roles like you can pursue a variety of opportunities in roles like Business Analyst, Market Research Analyst, Management Consultant, Operations Research Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, where there are many opportunities, especially in industries where data-driven decision making is crucial. The program will prepare students to analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform strategic business decisions.

According to BLS data, Management Analyst roles accounted for about 1,075,100 positions in 2024, are projected to grow about 9% from 2024 to 2034 (much faster than average), and had a median annual wage of approximately $101,190 in May 2024.
Applicants to the ABM need to have earned a minimum of 75 credits toward their BSBA and 90 credits to start the ABM, have a current GPA of 3.2 or higher, and have completed an internship. UP to six credits of approved graduate eligible coursework can be counted toward both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees and the student is eligible, with the approval of the Graduate Director, to take other graduate level courses during their senior year toward their master’s degree while completing undergraduate requirements.
