We want you career-ready!

That’s why the College of Business is the only URI college with a full-time career advisor available to meet with you to explore jobs and put your goals into action. You can get help choosing the career path that is right for you, get your resume reviewed, or have a mock interview.

  • Sept 26, Public Accounting Night, 5:00-7:30 pm, Memorial Union
  • Oct 2, Supply Chain Night, 6:00-7:30 pm, Memorial Union
  • Oct 25, COB Career Day, Job & Internship Fair, all day event, Ballentine Hall and Memorial Union. Career Day is one of the College of Business’ most anticipated traditions. Alumni and corporate partners return to campus to share their stories, their expertise, their job search tips with you to help you be successful in your search.
  • Nov 4, Interested in elevating your expertise in business after graduation?  4-6pm, Ballentine, room 115
    Enjoy some light snacks and map your credentialing and career journey. Information will be shared on Master’s and Graduate Certificate programs in Accounting; Healthcare Management; Labor Relations and Human Resources; Supply Chain Management and Applied Analytics; Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design; and Business Administration (including the URI MBA).

Business 390

All students take part in a Career Passport Program—a one-credit required course focused on key areas of career development and the job search process, including skill identification, goal setting, industry research, review of job search materials, and networking. In addition, you will participate in mock interviews, major-specific career workshops, and career event among other career-related opportunities.                                                                                                                   

There are year-round career events, including an annual Career Day with over a dozen panel discussions, career fairs, industry nights, and guest speakers who are experienced professionals in their fields.
