State of RI ERP update – Tax Season FAQs
This message is shared on behalf of the State of Rhode Island ERP project team.
Due to errors on the issued W-2s, the State will be sending updated W-2s to all employees. We are aware the W-2s were issued under the State of Rhode Island Umbrella Company.
We recognize W-2s are time sensitive and the State team will work swiftly to distribute updated forms. We will follow up with a communication when the updated W-2s are distributed.
As a reminder, overtime income will not be listed separately from your other types of income on W-2 forms. This is not an error with the form. For the purpose of reporting your federal overtime tax credit, overtime received after the ERP transition is broken out on your pay slips. Unfortunately, the State’s legacy systems did not isolate overtime income, and therefore overtime data is not reflected on Paystub RI.

State of RI ERP Transition (RI ERP)
The State of Rhode Island launched a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on Sunday, November 16th, that will simplify and streamline its human resources, payroll, and finance systems. This impacts only URI State of Rhode Island employees.
