Changes to URI Mail Services due to COVID-19 crisis

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, URI Mail Services is updating the community on its current procedures for the delivery of mail and packages on the Kingston Campus. Even though the crisis has affected all segments of the University community, we are fully operational, and our goal is to get your mail and packages to you in a safe and timely manner.

We are serving some URI buildings on our Emergency Route, as well as additional locations (see list below). If you are not on the buildings list, we are implementing the following procedure to allow mail and package distribution to happen safely at our location.

  1. Please contact URI Mail Services at 401.874.2810 or at mail_services@etal.uri.edu before you come to our building. We will place your mail and packages on a table next to the door.
  2. If you have outgoing mail, it can be placed on the same table. Please provide us with a mail card if you need postage applied.
  3. We are located at 6 Rhody Ram Way, next to Brookside Hall. There is plenty of parking available in the lot adjacent to our front door.
  4. All packages dropped off by outside carriers (i.e. UPS, FedEx, Amazon) will continue to be processed at our location.

In cases where delivery to a building not on the lists below is necessary, please contact Shelly Miller at 401.874.2861 or at shellymiller@uri.edu. She will arrange a time for delivery and pickup of your mail and packages.
