The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for a significant snow storm that could bring 4 to 6 inches of snow to the area. The watch, which covers all of Rhode Island, will go into effect late Thursday evening and continue through Friday afternoon.

Given the likelihood of heavy snowfall, COVID-19 testing will be closed on Friday, Jan. 7 and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Testing will remain open Thursday, Jan. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the trailer across the street from the Potter Building on the Kingston Campus. Testing will also be available on the Narragansett Bay Campus Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
