Proposal Tracker

2024-2025 Proposal Tracker

The proposal trackers allow faculty and staff to view the progress of all curricular proposals through the legislative process. Course, program, certificate, specialization, and minor proposals in Kuali that have been approved at the college curriculum committee and dean level are formatted and entered manually into the tracker. Statuses are changed as changes occur.

Using the Proposal Tracker (AY 2024-2025)

1. Each sheet belongs to a different category of proposal (A. Courses / B. Modified Programs; New Minors, Certs & Specs / C. New Programs / D. Non-Standards

    • A. Courses: All course proposals, all levels, all types. The final level of approval is by vote of the Faculty Senate. Once the courses have been presented to the Faculty Senate, voted on, approved, and the bill signed by the Faculty Senate President, these courses will be approved for their effective dates.
    • B. Modified Programs; New Minors, Certs, & Specs: All proposals for the creation of new minors, certificates, or specializations, OR modifications to existing degree programs, minors, certificates, or specializations. The final level of approval is by the University President. Once the items have been approved by the Faculty Senate and the Bill signed by the Faculty Senate President, they are then given to the University President for review. Once approve and the Bill signed by the University President, the modifications or new minors/certs/specializations are valid on their specified effective dates.
    • C. New Programs: All brand new degree programs, all levels (undergraduate or graduate). The final level of approval is by the Board of Trustees. Once approved and signed by both the Faculty Senate and the University President, new program proposals are presented to the Board of Trustees (BOT) at their quarterly meetings, and once approved, they are valid for their effective dates.
    • D. Non-Standards: *See non-standard forms. These are for items not appropriate for Kuali, and require permission from the FS Office to be proposed in this way.
