Welcome! If you’re interested in joining a Greek organization at URI, you must be an eligible student, enrolled in classes at URI and are expected to abide by all URI regulations, as stated in the Student Handbook.
All Greek Organizations charge membership fees, also known as Dues, each semester. Dues are required to be paid. Learn more about Greek Life Finances.

IFC Fraternities recruit eligible students in both the Fall and Spring Semester. Each fraternity hosts their own calendar of recruitment events at the start of each semester. Fraternity Recruitment Events may be open events or invite only. Registration is required to accept a bid.
Fall 2026 Recruitment Registration will open on June 1. Registration closes at the end of each semester, and is valid for 1 academic year (fall to spring). Registration is required to receive a bid and costs $27.00.

Panhellenic Sororities
Panhellenic Sororities recruit eligible students during Panhellenic Primary Recruitment in the Fall semester, however not all chapters continue with recruitment during the Spring Semester. Registration is required to participate in sorority recruitment and accept a bid.
Fall 2026 Panhellenic Primary Sorority Recruitment registration will open June 1st. During Recruitment, potential new members will meet with 11 NPC sororities in a formal process over 2 weekends. Registration is required to participate and costs $59. Registration closes a few days before recruitment begins & is required to participate in Sorority Recruitment.
For eligible students interested in Continuous Open Bidding (COB) to join a Panhellenic Sorority during the Spring semester, there is no registration fee during the Spring as each chapter hosts their own individual events, however registration is required to accept a bid.
