Biography

Peter joined GSO in 2018 as a research associate at the Costal Resources Center. He brings a career-long interest in ecosystem service markets and the institutional mechanisms that support them. Peter moved to Rhode Island from the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he worked on regional marine planning and managed fisheries data collection projects. Prior to the Caribbean, he developed a community-based approach to evaluate tradeoffs across marine ecosystems services provisioned by Oregon’s first two marine reserves, worked for an environmental economics consulting firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and for an environmental law NGO and national newspaper in San José, Costa Rica.
