GSO was one of over 150 exhibitors at the Providence Boat Show, which ran from January 31 through February 2. The booth was sponsored in full by the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association (RIMTA), which was in charge of this year’s show. The GSO booth featured an autonomous surface vessel (ASV) that Professor Chris Roman developed with the assistance of Champlin funding, an interactive kiosk featuring a broad sampling of GSO research, teaching and outreach activities, and a monitor display linked to the Inner Space Center. The booth was staffed by David Smith, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Myrna Bizer, Associate Dean for Development, Meredith Clark, GSO Admissions Advisor, Deb Coty, Development Associate, and Dean Bruce Corliss, as well as a number of graduate students, including Sarah Fuller, Brennan Phillips, Cathleen Turner, and Erin Markham.

Dean Corliss thanks Myrna Bizer and Meredith Clark for organizing this effort, and Deb Coty, Alex DeCiccio, Steve Granger, Darrell McIntire, Dave Palazzetti, Chris Roman and Derek Sutcliffe for help in preparing the booth.
