September 15-19, 2025First Room Change Request Form of the Academic Year available in URI My Housing portal
October 1-November 1, 2025RA Applications available for Academic Year 2026-2027 in URI My Housing portal
Late OctoberJ-term/Winter Break Housing Application Available in URI My Housing portal
December 12-18, 2025Finals week – 24 Hour quiet hours within residence halls
Friday, December 19, 2025Winter break begins, Halls close at noon for all residents without winter break housing
Thursday, January 15, 2026Halls open for new residents
Friday, January 16, 2026Last day to cancel/vacate housing without incurring semester charges (cancellation fees may still apply)
Saturday, January 17, 2026Halls open for returning residents
Thursday, January 22, 2026Priority Housing Application Available for Academic year 2026-2027 (Incoming First-Year, Transfer, and Returning Students)
Thursday, February 5, 2026Priority Housing Application Deadline for returning students requesting housing for Academic Year 2026-2027
March 2-10, 2026Initial round of Room Selection for returning students
March 14-22, 2026Spring Break
Late March/Early AprilCancelation Form available for returning students with a Fall 2026 housing assignment (charges may apply)
