Linnell Bickford

Biography

Linnell Bickford is the Director of Development for Emerging Technology and Innovation at the University of Rhode Island. She is working with colleagues to build an inclusive university entrepreneurial ecosystem that will engage students, alumni and the Rhode Island community. She is a creative, hands-on leader with 14 + years of non-profit development background focused on building strong, enduring relationships. Before coming to URI she was Director of Leadership Giving for Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, where she worked to cultivate support from engineering alumni across the country with a special focus on entrepreneurs. Prior positions include; Director of Development for the College of Engineering and Computing at FIU in Miami, Director of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, Assistant Director of Advancement for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY and Director of Development for Northern Human Services in Northern New Hampshire. Prior to her career in development Linnell was the owner of an online natural products company. She earned her BA and MS in Finance at Florida International University in Miami.
