B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science
Single Track
All students entering in Fall 2025 or later will follow this new, streamlined curriculum. This track gives students the ability to choose courses from the professional content areas of both of our previous tracks (Applied and Pre-Professional).
The Kinesiology Track provides flexibility to choose professional electives appropriate for a wide range of health and exercise science related careers. It is appropriate for students interested in pursuing health care professions such as physical therapy, chiropractic, medical doctor, or physician’s assistant or in becoming an exercise physiologist, strength and conditioning specialist, occupational therapist or health coach. Career opportunities exist in corporate, community, commercial and hospital-based fitness and wellness centers. The Kinesiology track will also prepare students for graduate study in clinical exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise science, health fitness, health promotion, preventive medicine and related fields. Kinesiology students will be prepared to become a certified professional in specialty areas including exercise physiology, strength and conditioning and/or personal training.
Current students (those who first enrolled in the Spring 2025 semester or earlier) will stay in their Applied or Pre-Professional tracks, but may choose to transfer into this new track. Please consult your advisor if you are interested in this option.
