B.A. in Spanish
Immersion
As a Spanish student, you will have access not only to a wide variety of study abroad opportunities around the world, but you will enjoy immersion and real-world experiential learning opportunities at and near the URI campus. Many of our events are held in the International Engineering House, one of our Living and Learning Community residences.
IEP House Events
Spanish Conversation Hour
Join us at “el café hispano” for an hour of Spanish conversation activities in a relaxed, supportive and low-pressure environment. Coordinated by our Spanish Student Ambassadors, these events are welcoming and informal, and often include games so that everyone has fun and feels comfortable participating.
Spanish Conversation Buddies
Build your confidence and your conversation skills by meeting regularly with our Spanish Conversation Buddies. These students are native Spanish speakers from our partner universities and advanced Spanish majors who have demonstrated excellence in their own skills as independent and cross-culturally savvy users of Spanish.
Spanish Movie Nights
Join your friends for a relaxing evening, while also building your language and intercultural skills in a fun and stress-free setting, at our Spanish movie nights.
