Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Prerequisites
- At least two semesters of Chemistry
- One semester each of:
- Biochemistry
- Anatomy or Biology
- Human Physiology
- Nutrition
- Statistics
- Advanced nutrition (with a biochemistry prerequisite)
- Advanced statistics (with a math prerequisite)
Students from other academic areas are encouraged to apply but must have the prerequisites listed above. Read more about degree requirements.

- Identify a faculty member you would like to conduct research under.
- Submit an online application to the URI Graduate School. Please refer to the Graduate School description of the application process for information on the University’s application deadlines.
