Overview
This project will collect baseline data on seabed habitats in an aquaculture area of interest in the Gulf of Mexico. The project will utilize autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to collect various data, including multibeam bathymetry, backscatter maps, sidescan sonar mosaics, sub-bottom profiler data, and magnetometer data. The collected data will be processed and delivered in various formats.

AUV Surveys in Support of Aquaculture

Overview
Using two simultaneous Gavia AUVs to collect high-resolution multibeam bathymetry, sub-bottom profiles, magnetometer data, and imagery at NOAA aquaculture priority sites in the western Gulf of Mexico, in partnership with commercial operator Terradepth.
