Overview
WHOI will provide a REMUS 600 AUV and operators onboard NOAA Ship Pisces to conduct synthetic aperture sonar, laser line scanner and camera surveys in the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally a DVL will be purchased and integrated, extending bottom ranges to greatly enhance the deeper-water navigational capability of the vehicle. The integrated systems will be tested locally and then shipped and provided for a 30-day survey cruise.
