Overview

This project was originally envisioned as both an operational AUV mapping project and a technology integration project. In the first year of the project, our team was able to successfully deliver an AUV mapping expedition and begin integrating advanced sensors into a Remus 600 AUV. The University of Rhode Island also supported the MDBC program with a telepresence capability aboard the NOAA ship Nancy Foster.

This project has since transitioned to focus on Remus 600.
