Is there a focus on patient care and clinical experience at URI?
Absolutely! Students begin working in patient care environments through IPPEs starting in the third year. By graduation, students complete over 1700 hours of supervised practice, gaining real-world skills in team-based and patient-centered care.

How do I apply to the Pharm.D.?

Can I study abroad while enrolled in the Pharm.D. program at URI?
Yes, we encourage students to take advantage of international academic experiences. These can occur during J-term, summer sessions, or the regular academic year. These opportunities are available during the pre-professional years and require completion of pre-requisite coursework prior to studying abroad.
