How to use VA Educational Benefits for Summer

Step 1: Apply for benefits through the VA Website

Step 2: Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to vabenefits-group@uri.edu.

Step 3: Submit a GI BillĀ® Certification Worksheet for each session (Session 1, Session 2, and/or Session 3) you wish to use your Benefits. This is not necessary for Ch. 31 students.

Full Time Credit Status Per Session:

Session 1 (5 Weeks) FT: 4 Credits for undergraduate, 3 Credits for graduate

Session 2 (5 Weeks) FT: 4 Credits for undergraduate, 3 Credits for graduate

Session 3 (10 Weeks) FT: 7 Credits for undergraduate, 6 Credits for graduate
