University College Advising

Meeting with an advisor can help you make academic choices and discover other exciting opportunities on campus and off. As of this year, freshman and others interested in majoring in Philosophy will see professional advisors in University College until they are transferred to the College of Arts and Sciences. The advisor serving students in the Philosophy major is James Perry who can be reached at 874-5890. You can go online to University College to make an appointment.

College of Arts and Sciences Advising

Once settled into the Philosophy Major, you face exciting challenges regarding how you will structure your studies as well as your life beyond the classroom.

Dr. William Bartels, the Chair of the Philosophy Department, serves as the Advisor for majors and minors. He is happy to talk with you about your academic progress and options, about how you are doing, and about your future plans.
