Summer Tutoring

Academic Enhancement Center support services for Summer 2024 begin the week of May 20th. Visit uri.edu/aec for information about our three AEC programs

STEM Tutoring helps undergraduate students navigate a limited selection of 100 and 200 level STEM courses through free peer tutoring online. Students will have access to tutors zoom drop-in rooms from 5-7pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday through TracCloud. The TracCloud application is available through URI Microsoft 365 single sign-on and more detailed information and instructions can be found at uri.edu/aec/tutoring. Please note that Business tutoring is not being offered this Summer. 

Academic Skills Development Consultations are 1 to 1 in-person or online consultations that help students to directly address individual academic challenges and develop the skills and strategies needed to plan and manage work and study effectively. In summer semesters, students can schedule sessions with Dr. David Hayes on Starfish. Additionally, students can explore the AEC’s Study Your Way to Success self-guided web portal of dozens of topic specific videos and articles featuring tips and strategies on studying and time management related topics. The Undergraduate Writing Center provides peer writing support to students in any class, at any stage of writing: from understanding an assignment and brainstorming ideas, to developing, organizing, and revising a draft. Summer writing consultations are available 1-4:30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays through TracCloud.The TracCloud application is available through URI Microsoft 365 single sign-on.
