Thirteen vehicles have been vandalized while parked at different locations around the Kingston campus since April 4, URI Police report. Swastikas were carved into some vehicles, and pornographic shapes were carved into several others. With forecasters calling for light snow through Monday morning, a partial parking ban will be in effect from midnight, April 1, through 6 p.m., Monday, April 2, on the Kingston campus. To ensure efficient snow removal operations and the safety of the campus community, public safety and facilities operations ask for your cooperation.

The partial parking ban has been lifted, the University resumes normal operations today.

Governor Raimondo has announced that state offices will be closed on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., due to severe weather conditions.

The University will lift the parking ban for the Kingston Campus on Wednesday, March 14 at 8 a.m. The University will return to regular business operations at all campuses on Wednesday.

March 12, 2018: Full parking ban in effect starting tonight at 6

A full parking ban will begin today, March 12 at 6 p.m., and remain in effect until Tuesday, March 13 at 8 p.m.

All classes on all campuses starting at 4:00pm or later are canceled. Online classes will continue as scheduled.
