Art Studio (B.A., B.F.A.)
Overview
Whether you choose the B.A. or B.F.A. program in Art Studio, you will work in various media to develop technical skills and your own creative expression. You will also gain hands-on practical experience working closely with artists and instructors in classroom settings and one-to-one exchanges. No portfolio is required for either program, and we welcome students who are new to the arts.
Bachelor of Arts
The B.A. in art studio requires from 36 to 51 credits in art and art history, giving you a strong foundation to develop your creative and technical skills, and also allowing you space to double major or minor in another discipline.
Bachelor of Fine Arts
The B.F.A. program is a more studio-intensive program that provides in-depth professional training, and requires a higher concentration of credits earned in studio courses. The program requires 72 credits in art and art history to graduate.
