One-Year M.B.A.

Curriculum

URI’s one-year M.B.A. fuses strategy with critical thinking, creative exploration, and business model generation through opportunities for both theoretical and practical application in the business community.

Program Features

The one-year M.B.A program, will increase your skills in:

  • Problem solving: Learn how to integrate knowledge from various fields and apply them in business environments.
  • Team building: The program encourages team learning and students learning from one another. Comradeship in the program extends to lifelong friendships. 
  • Consulting: You will act as a consultant through a final capstone project. We offer you the opportunity to solve complex problems for local companies through live case studies and a final capstone/consulting project in the Spring. Recent capstone business partners have included BusySeed, CVS Health, Fidelity Investments, Hasbro, IGT, Ocean State Job Lot, and Taco Comfort Solutions.

Curriculum

The one-year M.B.A. program is a 42-credit full year program consisting of fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Program Schedule

During the fall and spring semester, classes are held during the day at main URI campus in Kingston, RI. From May-July, you are given the option to select from many different learning opportunities to complete your degree. You can register for a summer internship, electives with the Part-time M.B.A. students, or directed study work. Our College of Business internship coordinator will work with you to develop and uncover internship opportunities around the world.
