Curriculum
You must complete 120 total credits to graduate, with 24 credits in the major, which depend on your catalog year. In 2022, the required courses include:

Graduate Certificates in Human Resources and Labor Relations
As an undergraduate, you can apply to earn a graduate certificate in Human Resources or Labor Relations during your junior or senior year. Graduate certificates provide an invaluable opportunity to deepen your skills within a given topical area and are valued by employers and graduate schools.
- If accepted, you will earn credits toward the certificate while you complete undergraduate requirements (certificate credits cannot count toward the undergraduate degree).
- To earn the certificate, you must enroll for at least one semester after completing your undergraduate degree.
- Achievement of a graduate certificate during the summer after graduation may allow interested students accepted into the MS program to complete their MS in approximately one additional year of study.
Graduate Certificate Requirements
Applicants with undergraduate majors in any field are considered for admission. You must submit a statement of purpose; two official transcripts of all academic work; two letters of recommendation; a writing sample; and a résumé of professional experience.
To earn a graduate certificate in human resources, students must satisfactorily complete four of the following courses: LHR 432, 500, 503, 521, 531, 532, 533, 542, 551, 573, and MBA 502, 540, 577, 578 or other courses approved by the program director.
To earn a graduate certificate in labor relations, you must satisfactorily complete four of the following courses: LHR 432, 500, 503, 521, 531, 532, 542, 544, 545, 546, and 551 or other courses approved by the program director.
To receive certificates in both HR and LR, you may only use one course to count for both programs. You must take 6 additional courses to receive both certificates.
