The CyberCorp Scholar Course Schedule

URI undergraduate students are required to complete URI Advanced Bachelor’s Masters (ABM) program in CS/Cybersecurity with scholarship support in their Senior and Graduate years.  A CyberCorp scholar typically follows this course schedule (details on courses are available here):

Students must take CSC 211 Object-Oriented Programming prior to applying to the SFS program, while CSF 202 System Fundamentals For Cybersecurity, and CSF 432 Introduction To Network Security are strongly recommended.

CyberCorp scholars must take CSF 534 Advanced Topics In Network and System Security and CSF 430 Information Assurance while an undergraduate in order to be able to complete the PSM requirements within the one additional graduate year. CSF 432, CSF 430, and CSF 534 may be counted to both the scholar’s undergraduate CS degree and their PSM as part of the ABM program.

CyberCorp scholars will get an undergraduate SFS activities experience in their final undergraduate year. They will work with Dr. Fay-Wolfe and the URI Cybersecurity Center faculty and staff on cybersecurity experiential and professional preparedness activities.

CyberCorp scholars will do a CyberCorp internship in their first summer (between graduating with their BS and starting their graduate year).

In each of the Fall and Spring semesters of their graduate year, CyberCorp scholars will take a course that is designed specifically for CyberCorp scholars to survey the landscape of government cybersecurity jobs and provide support for students’ upcoming job search process.
