Admission
Requirements
To be admitted to the adult education program you must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. The graduate school recommends a minimum 3.0 GPA, by the time you begin your graduate studies at URI. GRE exams are not required for admission.
How To Apply
Complete an online application by clicking on “GradCas” on the URI Graduate School website
The following material must be included in the packet:
- two official copies of the transcripts of all previous college and post-baccalaureate work, in the envelopes provided;
- a minimum of two letters of recommendation from instructors, employers, or supervisors, (letters from these individuals should be submitted online)
- Personal statement showing evidence of your experience, and strong interest in Adult Education
Tuition and Fees
Students who are accepted into the Graduate School with an M.A. in Education, with the Adult Education Specialization, are eligible for special tuition rates. This tuition rate applies for fall, spring, and summer tuition.
2025-2026 Tuition: $918 per credit hour
Additional Fees:
Students are expected to pay fees such as registration and tech fees. A one time transcript fee and document fee may apply if you are new to URI. Standard graduate student fees can be found on the Enrollment Services website.
