Announcements:

  • We are still collecting food for Rhody Outpost. Drop off your non-perishable items in the shopping cart in the lobby.
  • On Monday, February 10, about 1/3 of our parking lot will be closed until 12pm to accommodate the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new dorm, Brookside Hall. Travel Update: Last call for Boston Flower Show, March 13. If you are interested in going, please let Dee know right away. Email ollitravel@verizon.net or call 487-9742.

  • Please always call for availability if you find a trip you are interested in. Sometimes seats become available on trips that are sold out.
  • If you are interested in Croatia and Slovenia in 2021, please email Dee at Ollitravel@verizon.net and she will send you the brochure as soon as it comes out.

Special Notice: Cyber Seniors is back! Have technology questions about your smart phone, tablet or laptop? OLLI members can come and meet with a URI student (Bella) and get all their questions answered. No appointment necessary, just stop by the OLLI lobby on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9am and 12:30pm and Fridays between 10:30am and 12:30pm

 Special Interest Groups FREE and open to all members; No registration required.

  • Aging, Living Well- Wednesday, February 12 at 3:00pm  TOPIC this month:  Expressing love to family, friends, neighbors and the elderly and its importance. This is a gathering of interested members for simple conversation about important things in life as we mature and enter the mid to later stages of our lives.  There is no facilitator this month.  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day come and enjoy the company of your OLLI friends with this topic in mind. A few handouts will be provided to help with discussion.
  • Walking Group will meet at Riverwood Preserve, Westerly Land Trust. Visit the website for details and directions.
  • Bridge Group meets at 2pm in the lobby.
  • Movie Group –Thursday, 2/27 at 3:00. Read all the details here.
  • Non Fiction Book Group– Monday, 2/24 at 3:30pm. The book is D-Day Girls by Sarah Rose.
  • International Book Group meets on March 3. Check out the books we’re reading here.
  • Writer’s Group meets Friday, 3/6 at 2:30pm
