The program will enrich your academic experience with smaller, seminar-style classes; interdisciplinary subjects; and an annual colloquium with distinguished speakers exploring current and emerging issues. Honors Criteria

  • Students who have a 3.8+ recalculated GPA will be invited to join the Honors Program. We do not use SAT/ACT scores in determining Honors Program eligibility.
  • Students should answer “yes” to the question on the Common Application about their interest in the URI Honors Program if they would like to be considered for this. It is also possible to qualify for the Honors Program after enrolling at URI.
